On the evening of January 6, 2003, We The People of Fairbanks, Alaska proudly
claimed the heritage bequeathed us by our forefathers, as our City Council
unanimously passed Resolution No. 4036 in defense of America's Bill of Rights,
the first Ten Amendments to the Federal Constitution.
Unfortunately that Bill of Rights is under continued assault, more recently by
the United States Congress' hastily passed USA PATRIOT Act, and the upcoming
"PATRIOT Act II." Now more than ever before we must live by Thomas Jefferson's
creed of eternal vigilance toward powers that would do harm to our freedoms.
As is enshrined in The Declaration of Independence, our rights are a cherished
gift from our Creator. It's not possible for us to give them away, nor is it
possible for any earthly power to take them away. We will have them always.
What is possible, however, is infringement upon those rights; therefore
we stand at the ready to act peacefully against any who may desire to do so.
Our mission is one of education. Knowledge is power, and with knowledge,
together as a community, we'll be better able to defend against such
encroachments.
We invite you to browse through our website; we hope you'll find material
that's interesting and useful to you. Keep checking back, as we're always
publishing new items and articles, and, if you can, offer your time and
assistance. Many hands make light work.
We hope to hear from you soon.
